HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. OGILVY

Purtroppo non è più qui per festeggiare quello che sarebbe stato il suo 100esimo compleanno, ma l’eredità lasciata da David Ogilvy a pubblicitari e marketer di tutto il mondo rimane enorme.

Unfortunatly he can’t be here to celebrating his 100th birthday. However David Ogilvy’s heritage to advertisers and marketers is huge.

I suoi scritti e i suoi pensieri sono tuttora una guida per chi sceglie questo mestiere e si trasformano in Credo per i membri della Ogilvy & Mather. Per averli sempre bene in mente e provare ogni girono a tramutarli in azioni concrete, hanno chiesto a Stephen Powers di scolpirli a caratteri cubitali sulle pareti del quartier generale di New York. Lo stile dell’artista si unisce alla tradizione delle vecchie insegne dando nuovo vigore alle parole di David Ogilvy. Dall’altra parte del mondo invece lo festeggiano con un’iPhone app. Pitch David Ogilvy è la celebrazione delle filiali asiatiche. Proponi al maestro la tua idea e senti cosa ne pensa. Il padre è lo stesso, ma tra le due iniziative non c’è paragone… USA batte Asia 1-0. 

His books and thoughst are inspiring for everyone who chose this job and they are a really belief for Ogilvy & Mather members. To have them always clear in mind,  was called the artist Stephen Powers who writes them writ large on Ogilvy’s haedquarter wall in New York. His extra bold style meet the vintage advertising illustration to give a new effectiveness to Ogilvy’s words. Ogilvy Asia and Digital Lab, instead celebrate the event with a new iPhone App, called Pitch David Ogilvy. If you have a new idea, ask to David, he can tell you if it’s good or not. Same father, different (and uncomparable) intiatives… USA strikes Asia.
